A street playground for the children of a primary school in Librino (Catania) is the result of a workshop organized by Abadir Academy for the Renzo Piano working group, called G124, that deals with the “mending” of the Italian suburbs.

The aim of the workshop, led by the young designer Giorgio Laboratore, was to generate and develop a regeneration project through decoration and landscaping. The urban design is really directly related to the behaviours, lifestyles, traditions and rituals of contemporary living and collective. The 15 playground games revisit classics street games or invent new ones playing with the imagination of children and their desire to have fun everywhere.
